The Mitre 10 MEGA Petone Settlers Talent Centre is a development programme for players aged between 9 and 17 years.  Players attend specialised training sessions each week with a programme designed to maximise their potential in challenging and enjoyable sessions.

The programme is supported by qualified coaches from within the club and a Technical Director with UEFA B qualifications. The coaches will support the development of players at a technical and tactical level.

The Mitre 10 MEGA Petone Settlers Talent Centre encompasses a range of pathways to enable all players (boys and girls) to develop to their greatest potential at all levels. Offering three programmes under the Talent Centre umbrella:

TDP (Talent Development Programme): Available at U13/U15 and U17 level, this programme meets the NZ Football criteria for player development. Teams within this programme will compete in the Capital Development Leagues for each grade.

Skill Centre: Players seeking to develop their skills in a non-TDP environment are invited to join the Skill Centre.

Fun Football Skills: Introducing and supporting ongoing development of players at the grassroots level, this programme is led by Gary Jenkins (Director of Junior Football).

Goalkeeping: Specialist goalkeeping skill sessions are also available for those in the TDP and Skill Centre programmes.
